Every piece in the Nazar collection is inspired by the Nazar Boncugu symbol, widely known as the evil eye symbol. It is an ancient protection symbol believed to ward off negative energy forces. I have used evil eyes in my home for a long time so I find a lot of relief in them. I thought this would be the perfect source of inspiration for a new collection to bring positive energy into the homes of my collectors to welcome in the new year.
These pieces have soaked in the light of the last full moon of 2023, and I have incorporated tiny specs of glow pigment into the layers, so in pitch black, you'll see little dots glowing on the artwork.
These will all get their very own matching wax seal on the back, a certificate of authenticity, and are hand signed by me on the back.
Ready to hang.
They get top coated after ordering for the smooth high shine finish, and their edges are painted white to really bring out those blues.

What happens when I order an original artwork?
A resin top coat is when epoxy resin is used to finish an artwork for a shiny finish. Each piece gets top coated with clear UV protective resin after ordering, this gives the piece a luxurious professional shiny finish. This process is done after purchase to ensure the best finish ready for it's new home. If you have a special preference for the edge colours to better match your home, you can email hello@katiealizeart.com and Katie can paint them a custom colour for you instead.

Each piece comes ready to hang, with the art panel type written into the description of the artwork, all art panels are cradled, meaning they have an inset area on the back that makes putting artwork onto a wall very easy, you just need a secure screw in the wall.
